Oral Histories

The African American Library at the Gregory School's oral history project is our campaign to record the personal experiences of men and women who helped shape the African American history of Houston, Texas and the surrounding areas.

Our oral histories capture rich, first-hand experiences from individuals who contribute to African American culture and offer a firsthand view that is Houston's African American experience.

  • We offer scheduled recording sessions
  • Oral history programs are open to researchers and the public
  • Experienced staff to guide individuals through the oral history process
